Capital Projects Finance Authority
Variable Rate Demand Revenue Bonds
(Capital Projects Loan Program -
AAAE Airport Projects)
Series 2000H
The Series 2000H loan program was created on December 14, 2000 with the issuance of $300,000,000 of variable rate demand revenue bonds. The program was designed to provide for the financing or re-financing of governmental capital projects of airport facilities throughout the United States.
The Program was created with the direct support and assistance of the American Association of Airport Executives, the primary trade association of airport executives. AAAE provides on-going promotional efforts on behalf of the Program, including the creation and distribution of marketing materials, educational seminars on the Program at various conferences of its members, and posting of information and applications on its web site.
Prior to the issuance of the bonds, the Program Administrator conducted a non-binding demand survey of various airport facilities to determine reasonable anticipation of demand for such a program. More than 40 airports responded to the survey indicating anticipated demand well in excess of $500 million.
The loan origination period for potential borrowers extends to December 1, 2003.
